Your dryer takes two or three cycles to actually dry a load. That's usually a sign the vent is clogged, not the dryer. A blocked vent also means lint building up somewhere it shouldn't, which is a fire risk most people never think about.
How the visit goes
- We check the vent run
A technician traces the vent from the dryer to the outside exhaust, not just the part you can reach.
- We clear out the lint
Buildup gets cleared from the full run, including bends and sections behind the wall.
- We check the outside exhaust
The outside vent cover gets checked too, since a blocked or damaged one causes the same problem from the other end.
- We test the airflow
Before we finish, we check that air is actually moving through the vent the way it should.
